Well, because two of my favorite girls are playing against each other in first line I was thinking not to write any predict for this match, but after all it is just too big event to miss it. Grand Slam final, for me the best Slam ever, because here in Australia everyone love kangaroos and… tennis. Don’t worry guys match will start in about 3 hours and it won’t be too long prediction. Because you don’t have to write too much when Maria Sharapova is in such form. Sweet Lord, in all matches in this tour she just were outstanding to all opponents, even to number 1 in WTA Justine Henin and it was not the fault of weaker perform of Henin. Sharapova just take straight to heart last year AO, when she lost strong to Serena Williams and after that met a lot of injuries and just awful season, we must say. Now she is free from injuries and so much determinate to show the world that she deserves to fight for WTA crown that I can’t imagine that she won’t crush Ana in final. I won’t say about past match stats in this year edition, because we all know that Maria just owns it! I will trust her and believe that she will end quick this final. It don’t mean that I don’t respect Ana game. But after watching first set in battle with Hantuchova I know that she isn’t ready to stand against such power that Sharapova present. Ana is in optimal form, but Maria present just superb form in this tour and that leads me, after watching many games of these ladies that Maria will hit hard, good, and without mercy from the first ball. Surely she want to take a vengeance after loss in 2007 Rolland Garros and Sharapova is a player that like much to show her dominating on court… Good luck…

For me it’s a hard bet but also it’s Australian Open semi-final so I got to write some words about it. In other semis for me Sharapova is dominating favorite and don’t think that Jelena Jankovic will survive Russian fire. In this match it going to be more interesting. I put away my feeling to Ana and her beauty and honestly I tell you that girl fully deserves for final. She is determinate and in quite optimal form to count with every player in WTA, nearly all because if Sharapova will still show her game I don’t think Ana or Daniela will be able to bite her even in a small way. In this match I trust in my almost whole year observation of Daniela’s and Ana’s game in 2007 and these ladies games in Melbourne in 2008. My heart was begging for Radwanska win but sadly she didn’t handle the pressure against Hantuchova. But with Ana the Slovakian girl will be in totally different situation because Ivanovic game is different than Radwanska, much harder for Daniela. In my opinion Daniela just don’t know how to play against agressive players with very hard hits. Kirilenko didn’t present any super tennis game, but she posses very strong bite and serve so she was able to crack a set and lead 3:0 in second but Daniela found a good solution and somehow won. Other matches with ’strong hit’ players? Safina, Vaidisova, Williams sisters and of course Ivanovic always against Hantuchova give her a lot of problems to handle this style of game. It doesn’t mean that she will go down quick, because she is really in nice form here in Australia, very quick movement on court and she increased much her psyche, which was her real problem year ago. I think that if Ana will hit hard in first set and win it, Hantuchova won’t be able to stand up. And as I know Ana motivation and pursuit for final she will start with hell speed and will try to crush Hantuchova service in first games. Ana posses much stronger hit and play more agressive, Hantuchova uses much more technique, cross hits, but if Ana will smash strong balls she won’t run long ball exchanges like with Radwanska. I hope Ana will give her best. In my opinion Hantuchova isn’t a player that keep for long her serve and if she give it up once she will do it more times. I bet around 6:2, 6:4 for Ana and will pray for that. Ou, yes, my dream final is coming. My two beloved players Ivanovic and Sharapova.

And again in Gold Coast tour and again I bet on Peer. It was a real exam for her with Safina, but she pass it. She showed nerves and good play (but always it could be better). Safina didn’t handle the pressure and in final set loss. Now she have to face young Azarenka, which in my opinion is more predictable than Safina and I feel she will be easier opponent for Peer, if she will keep her game on nice level. As I see Peer in this tour plays one match good and second on little lower level, but still enough to be in this phase. Last match with Safina I count as “little lower” so I hope my predictions will be good and with Azarenka she will give more power from herself. Still she was defending well most of break-points and serve maybe wasn’t struggling but still quite nice in compression of other ladies in this tour. Azarenka is talented and already showed in last season that she is very dangerous, she already beat top players of WTA. But with Cibulkova she was playing essential of womens tennis. Gift for gift. Fault for foult. She didn’t impress me with due her swerve and attack of opponent serve. Although she made a quick way with Sugiyama and Fedak, with Cibulkova, who put some pressure into the game she got a lot of problems. Peer have some kind of problems in the match, but when she grab the fire we all saw what is happening like 6:1 in set two with Safina. I trust Peer because even with some problems in match, she almost always wake up on time and show her real game. I hope she won’t get any problem with Azarenka and that Azarenka will give as many gifts like she gave to Cibulkova…Good Luck!
